Yesterday, Kids’ Club supporters, Directors, TUFSD administrators and faculty, and seniors from Sleepy Hollow High School gathered for our annual Breakfast for Bedding event. Supporters donated gift cards and dorm bedding sets which will be distributed to more than 50 first generation college bound and other deserving students as they embark on their post-high school journeys.
Guests heard from some members of the Class of ’24, who shared about their academic experiences and their college plans. We also welcomed two former SHHS students who offered advice to the seniors on how to make the most of their college experiences (join clubs!) and spoke about how they had benefited over many years from Kids’ Club supported programs such as Latino U College Access, RSHM LIFE Center and more. It was a hopeful and inspiring gathering, which, as always, brought our community together in the spirit of generosity and commitment to the success of our local students. Many thanks to all who attended and/or contributed!
