2020 Kids’ Club Scholarship Winners
This certainly has been a year of upheaval for the Class of 2020, but Kids’ Club’s support of scholarships for Sleepy Hollow High School (“SHHS”) seniors remained constant. On June 15, SHHS held its annual Academic Awards Night via a virtual presentation where three fine students were announced as the recipients of the 2020 Kids’ Club Scholarships. Naomi F., Ray C. and Kimberly M. were selected for the awards by the SHHS Guidance Department based on need, merit and character, and will each receive $1,500 to go toward their college education.
Naomi plans to study biology at St. Lawrence University, with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian. Ray will be attending Manhattan College pursuing a degree in economics, and Kimberly is headed to Binghamton University with the intention of pursuing a Masters degree in Integrative Neuroscience. Kimberly shared, “I will use this education for further research in neurodiversity towards diagnostic and treatment tools. I am the first in my family to go to college so this [scholarship award] will help me immeasurably as a first generation student.” We wish them the best of luck as they pursue their academic and professional goals!

The final recipients are chosen by a committee of Sleepy Hollow High School faculty members and announced in June at Academic Awards Night.
